Apostille on Czech Documents

What is an Apostille?

An Apostille is a special certification or legalization which may be stamped onto a document or attached to it in order to authenticate the document or translation and any signatures on the document. Czech documents prepared in Ireland are sent for Apostille to the Czech embassy in Dublin, and will then be considered official in the Czech Republic and elsewhere. The Apostille stamp confirms the country of origin of the document, the circumstances in which the document has been signed, the identity of the signatory and of the authority who has certified the document.

Why would I need an Apostille?

All countries signed to the Hague Convention of 1961 may require an Apostille certification of any document produced in a foreign country in order to accept the validity of the document. Once a document has been authenticated by Apostille, all countries signed to the Convention will accept that document as official. A document prepared in Ireland for use in the Czech Republic must be Apostilled in the Czech embassy.

For more information on the Apostille process, please visit our partners at www.apostille.ie. Let us take the hassle out of document legalization and Apostille certification; for a list of our competitive prices including a two day return service, please click here.

The Apostille stamp can be applied to any notary translation, or the document may be translated after Apostille legalization. Our dedicated Czech translator can prepare and translate any document for you. Please see our document services page for more details on our range of translation and document preparation services.
